Lymphatic DrainageThe Lymphatic system is the front line of our bodies. The Lymphatic system is involved in detoxifying the body,to fight disease and infection and the transporting of metabolic waste, excess fluid, toxins and bacteria out of our bodies. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specific gentle massage technique, helping our body to refresh and rejuvenate its fluid, it encourages the natural circulation of lymph fluid through the body. Manual Lymphatic Drainage works above the muscle fascia (connective tissue) as 70% of fluid is found here. This stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system via relaxation effects, it also stimulates the immune system by leaving waste and germs inside the nodes to be destroyed out of the nodes. All Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatments are an Hour and Half long, and is done without the use of oil instead arrowroot is used for easy flow over the body. |
